The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories | HitRecord & Joseph Gordon-Levitt

★★★★

“The universe is not made of atoms; it’s made of stories”

For those who suffer from a severe lack of time (as an English Lit student, contrary to popular belief, I spend all of those “free” hours reading, reading, and yes, you guessed it reading – all for my course too) this is the book for you.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has set up an online production company called HitRecord which, from a quick search of the internet, produces collaborative artistic pieces from music to films to The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories. This book is a collaborative piece between 67 different writers and online artist wirrow and it is exactly what it says on the tin. It is physically small and it is full of little stories.

The lovely thing about this book is that it is super quick to read, and you can open it at any page and start reading. And at about 80 pages long there are enough stories in it that you could reread it straight away. Some stories are sad, some are quirky, and some humorous. They’re only about one or two lines long and each is paired with an image inspired by the story the other an image that matches. Some stories are better than others, some are forgettable but it’s a nice little book that even busy students can pick up in between revision and exams and deadlines.
